Spotted: Nadine Merabi at Fashion week
Though there are now many fashion weeks taking place across the globe, it’s still the biannual events taking place in New York, London, Milan and Paris that first come to mind and prove most prevalent in influence and attendance. During this month of events, fashion’s biggest power players unite for a celebration of style and creativity from the world’s most exciting designers, but there’s often as much sartorial interest for what comes worn by those in attendance as there is for the looks that come down the catwalk.
Recently, all eyes have been on the four main fashion capitals as designers present their spring/summer 2023 collections and those with the coveted invites have certainly stepped out in their best looks all over, from traversing Manhattan’s pavements to dashing through Milan’s piazzas.
During this time we’ve been so excited (and flattered) to see that so many fabulous women have opted to bring their Merabi pieces with them along for the style ride. In and amongst the fabulous luggage landing in the fashion capitals have been pieces from across our collection, from feather-trim tailoring to scene-stealing dazzling party dresses.

In New York, kicking off the month of fashion in style, it was Boyu Ba and Jessica Luxe who turned heads uniting in fabulousness in a twinning pair of Kira Short Suits that caught our eye. These twinkling pieces — Ba in the mint, Luxe in the blue iteration — came alive under Manhattan’s famous bright lights and proved the power of concerted coordination.
By contrast to these besties, Kate Smolianinova played with sartorial juxtaposition when it came to her choosing how to wear her Merabi at NYFW. Here, she opted to wear the Phoebe White Corset Top with its dramatic trail reaching to the floor over a torn, baggy pair of jeans that proved to the perfect contrast, with the look then complete with a miniature top-handle bag, bright pink pointed shoes and a pair of Y2K-era inspired sunglasses. Much like we love to see for all occasions, our feather trims also made a splash in the city that never sleeps, including Nastya Swan looking truly majestic in our pink Darcie Pyjamas.

Some pieces transcended a city’s individual style to prove a veritable choice across the globe. The Nina Gold Dress popped up in New York and Milan for instance. In the US fashion capital, Kate Bartlett wore her shining golden dress with simple, talismanic jewellery and a scraped back hairstyle for a fashion week party. In Italy, Marija Krsikapa took hers out into the night with signature Italian polish and paired it with a glossy blow dry and a chic burgundy velvet clutch.
This wasn’t the only moment of Merabi in Milan. We particularly loved how much those in the know opted for our tailoring sets, whether it be Jessica De Oliveira in the pearl-embellished Charlotte Suit or Maja Malnar looking resplendent in the hot pink version of the Kira three-piece suit.
We’re sure you’ll all agree that these off-catwalk looks prove that fashion week’s most exciting moments can happen away from the runway.
